HPC Visualization: Seeing is Understanding Thursday, November, 17: 5:30 - 7:00 p.m.

Visualization has become an essential tool in scientific research, spanning many areas of science and engineering research and design. This session will share first-hand experiences shared by leaders in the industry in conceptualization, planning, design and implementation of visualization solutions, from entry-level to the largest clusters and walls. The birds of a feather will bring together people from a myriad of backgrounds that share a common interest in a range of topics including: user interface barriers for visualization environments, the value and/or hype of stereo displays, and the value of using visualization and data analysis as a tool for information discovery.

HPC NFS: Not your father's storage Thursday, November, 17: 5:30 - 7:00 p.m.
NFS is undergoing a renaissance in HPC. In this BoF, various aspects of NFS storage for HPC will be presented and discussed. Included will be hardware, networking and file systems. The focus is on scalability for performance and capacity including the next generation. Various speakers from vendors and users will share their experiences.
